NOTD: Konad Matte Blue with Bamboo

I used the same place as the pink one. I felt like something asian. ^^ m66 is the konad plate to go to! I am completely in love with all my matte colours at the moment.

I didnt clean the edges well but it all comes off in the shower. Not to sound dirty but with nail polish (esp these matte ones) as soon as you shower or wash your hands, the little bits just seem to 'melt away'.

I hope you like my little pictures. Later, my Xmas manicure!

NOTD: Matte Pink with Black Sakura

I used m66 plate. But the black konad special polish stains like CRAZY. I look like I've been playing with coal. >,<

I really couldn't clean the stains out but I like the end result. The LA Girl  matte pink is such a pretty olour. I used 2 coats on this one. I could have used just one but i wanted it to look very smooth. The shiny black really pops with the pink. ^^

NOTD: Konad with LA Girl Matte White

I kept my OPI Merry midnight and changed the birthday bash to LA Girl Matte white. I used Konad Plate m40 on my fingers. The white stamp was the Konad white special polish. For the purple flowers on the Matte white, I used Kose in Sugar Plum.

I didnt realise how dry my fingers looked! *gross*

Shopping Loot!

I went a bit crazy today. A wee bit. LA girl mattes are finally in Singapore! I know they have been out for AGES in North America but, it hit our shores 2 days ago.

I got (from left to right)
  1. LA Gitl Matte Pink
  2. LA Girl Matte Indigo
  3. OPI Suzi kies in the pyrenees suede (love love)
  4. LA Girl Matte Alpine Girl
  5. OPI Here today, Aragon tomorrow (FINALLY)
  6. OPI Done Out in Deco
I shall be swatching these soon. ^^

Joy upon joys.

NOTD: OPI Birthday Bash and OPI Merry Midnight

Sadly... I broke a nail. It's on my right hand, index finger. So I rushed to my salon to get it fixed. First time ever, I have a gel nail. It looks pretty good now. It tore pretty close to the nail bed but they fixed it! *kisses*

So, this is how my nails look like now. Not bad huh?

Look: Elmer Nails

Who doesn't love Elmer?

I did this on a whim. It was pretty easy.
One coat base. Then you dab a 2 colours on. Another clear coat. Another 2 colours. Another clear coat. Another two colours.

I know I could have done a better job. I did all 10 nails within an hour. I used so many different nail polishes and this was done AGES ago. Next time I do it, I will take pictures of the bottles.

But for the base coat and clear coats, I used Sally Hansen Green Tea + Bamboo nail strengthener.

NOTD: Green Bliss

Hi all! I have been super lazy posting new pictures up because, I wore my old nail colour (the cool french :)) to death. I finally changed it!

Isn't it pretty? I used one coat of white and 2 of the green.

Skinfood is one of my favorite nail polish brands. It is from Korea but it is highly pigmentated. The brush is a dream to use and it dries pretty fast. This is my nails after 2 days.

It's my closest dupe to the Chanel Jade. I am still sore about missing this colour and refusing to pay ebay prices. I didn't book it (my fault >,<) but when I went in 2 days after the launch, it was sold out!

Yet, I have seen NO ONE wearing it out.

However, this is close enough. The polishes are cheap too! About S$4. ^^

Backdated: Halloween Nails 2009

I know it's all over but I really wanted to post this one. It's an oldie but a goodie!

I used nail stickers. I did not draw them at all. :) Although I can't really remember what colours I used. It was a while back. I have like 5 orange nailpolishes and an insane amount of purple. The only colour I have more than purple is green. I <3 green. It's my second fave colour, next to purple! So yes, enjoy this. I got a funny feeling I used my Skin Food nail polish. A korean brand. Shall check. This whole manicure took about an hour to do by myself. It actually lasted a whole week!

Green Pedicure: OPI's Here Today, Aragon Tomorrow

Forgot about my tootises.

And I know my second toe is freakishly long. It's a old wives' tale that I will be an overbearing wife due to that toe. ^^

It's not showing up well but it's a dark dark green. I love it and I need 2 bottles now.

Yes, I am refering to OPI's Here Today, Aragon Tomorrow.

It's lovely and if it were a living thing, I would marry it.

NOTD: A twist on the classic french!

Hi! I treated myself and got a maincure done.(So I couldn't take pictures of the bottles but it's OPI. We all know how it looks like) And this is how it turned out!

Pretty huh? Except I just got out of the shower and my hands just look a bit gross.

But, here's the low down.

OPI pink I'm Indi-a Mood for Love on my tips. Some random silver glitter from Colour Club. And the beautiful blue is OPI Russian Navy.

I might just try recreating this on my own. ^^ It seemed easy in the shop.

Gloomy nails!

This is my take on the gloomy bear nails.

I used Sally Hansen Hard As Nails in Sheer Lilac Gloss for the pink base. The white was some cheapie thing from Daiso called Pedicure Nail enamel. The red tips is a polish from Sephora called L10 Groseille (I think).

I just painted my half my nails in pink and the other half in white. Pink 3 coats, white 2 coats. Then I just dribbled the 'blood' on.

I like to think it looks like gloomy. What do you think?

First Post!

Hi all!

I hail from Singapore. Typical Singaporean chinese girl. I am constantly looking at nail polish blogs and I feel great envy when I realise that most of the pretty pretty colours (ie brands) are not sold here.

I'm a nail polish newbie. I stopped biting my nails 8 months ago and I have never looked back. (Except on the odd stressful work day ^^) I only have about 40 colours and I have just discovered konading.

Please excuse the state of my dry cuticles. I must remember to use my hand cream.

So I hope you guys enjoy this. Whoever is reading.

I'll also occasionally throw in the odd makeup picture.

Soooooooo, I shall stop babbling and I hope you like this!

PS It's also a good way to procastinate doing paperwork (^,^)
