NOTD: First Konad in AGES

Hi ladies!

2 coats of each and a swirly konad and you get.... But on a side note, the P2 was really pigmentated.

I don't know why but my Konad top coat dried all crinkly even though I was good and didnt move.

Also, my next manicure inspration!

Ooooooo! It does match my nails now but I want to do the 'one line one line' thing.

Guest Nails: Ash's Pink Overload

Hi ladies!

I didn't do my bestie's nails but this is completely unlike her. She normally prefers a blood red manicure with black tips. And bling. Lots of bling.

So I was shocked, yet amused to see this femmy colour on her.

But it suits you Ash!

NOTD: Mini Skittles

Gold, pink and blue!

Faceshop gold 3 coats. Skinfood 1 coat. Rainbow blue 2 coats.

I wanted something to match my hair. I put in bright pink extensions to celebrate my life as it is now. Which is AWESOME!

I love skittles. Don't ya? I say Mini cos I only did 3 colours. And I will take pictures of my hair soon. I need a friend to do it for me.

And as for the apartment?

They took my check. But they haven't banked it in yet. So I will know if my offer has been accepted in 8 days. But bank loan is coming along fine. No issue at all. I'm so thankful.

NOTD: Pink With Black Crackle

I took everyone's advice and swirled the nail polish around after I applied a coat.

It does look much better but this polish I got dries matte. Which is kinda cool.

Please forgive the lighting. It's 1145pm here and it's been raining non-stop the last week. We experienced floods here over the weekend.

Black crackle and a pink un-named Skinfood. I only did one nail to experiment.

Indoors (duh) with flash. The crackle effect is really much nicer! Compared to the streaks I had earlier.

So ladies, to crackle, one must swish.

NOTD: Un-named but not Un-numbered Pink Foil Skinfood

Hi ladies!

I love skinfood. Did I mention it? I was lemming foil polishes at one point, and i realised, NA DUH I already have a few. Its been overcast all day so here a few quick photos. And the number of this is 24QY1. Useful huh? ^.^

Outdoors in overcast sky with flash. 2 coats.

Look at the glow! Pictures are really colour accurate but they don't really capture the complete wonderfulness of foils.

Indoors without flash. Looks flesh toned almost when lighting is dim. It's a bit more pink than this really.

I'm not really a big pink person. In fact, I traditionally shun red and pink polishes on myself. I prefer 'pop' colours ie colours that pop.

So what nail polish do you like on yourself the best?

I warn ya! WORST CUTICLES EVER. Since I was sick, I never did pick up the cuticle cream and have not done so in about 10 days.

Punishment for my sin. *sob*

Anyway, I did try out my new paints and tried a simple design. I truly need practice. One day, I will look back on these pictures and laugh. Or cry.

We all have to start some where right?

*sigh* I used a Skinfood pink and my paints. It looks slapped on. But good from a distance.

I took this indoors with as much sunlight as I could get through my window.

And Cookie was sleeping last night. But the flash woke her up!

NOTD: Anna Sui No. 333 and some OPI Buys

Hellos all!

This is a light shimmer glittery pink. 2 coats.

But I hated it on my nails. It makes them look sooooo yellow and gross. The only up side is the rose scent.
Imagine using a single rose petal to dig your nose. ^^ It's just like that.

I have a really bad habit of scratching my nose when I'm nervous. So when I had that meeting with my boss, at least it smelt pretty. >,<

But I did buy something. Although I should be saving more money...

NOTD: Sally Hansen True Love 66

Why is True Love the number 66? Since my nails are nubbins *growl*, I decided to go for a light neutral colour.
It's soooooo not me.

2 coats. Light and shimmery. Very safe. Bah. The middle finger is still red and a bit sore. It's growing but very very slowly. Maybe I'm just impatient.

I'm sorry this looks so gross. Floppy was sleeping. Not dead despite the picture. He was almost impossible to wake up til dinner :) Then he was up like a flash.

NOTD: Skinfood Rosegold

Slightly blurred to show the sparkle. Nothing captures this rose-gold beauty!

Indoors with no flash. Flash just makes it look white in any light.

2 coats as usual. I refuse to do 3 on most polishes except OPI (cos its expected).

NOTD: Pink Skinfood

Close up of this strawberry pink. Skinfood has gained my trust again. Smooth as butter, one coat.

I got a pearl toptop which has subtle shimmer. So, I added a coat of that on as well.

Top with flash, bottom without.

See the shimmer? ^^

Mini Swatches

1 coat of Done out in Deco with 2 coats of the Sylvie. It's a very pretty combination. The first pictures shows a truer colour of the polish in the bottles. The second one is better for the colour on the nail.

2 coats Kose Sugar Plum. First picture without flash. Second with. The polish looks more like the second picture but just a tad bit darker.

The colour looks lighter in the bottle then on the nail. It has a beautiful green flash and reminds me of a mermaid's tail. Rimmel's 819 Green With Envy.

 First picture, bottle colour accurate. 2nd picture (Below), strangely more accurate nail colour, minus the shimmer. Rimmel 640 Twinkle.

And last, the worst of the lot to photograph.

 2nd picture, accurate for nail colour. Last picture for bottle colour. Both are from canmake and 1 coat of each.
