NOTD: Spider Eggs and Glitter

Hi ladies!

I know my manicure sounds and looks like a Halloween one, and no, it was not intentional. I just wanted orange nails to go with my navy dress. And I got excited and I went a bit far. Me thinks. But before the nails, I want to show you something...

Lookie what I got! And no, the wet spot isn't drool. My hair was wet. (^.^) I got 2 lipglosses, a BEE-YEW-TEE-FULL blusher and transucent powder. Will post pictures soon

Today's colour is couatney orange from Sinful Colours. Part of my haul when I was in Vancouver. It's very pigmentated. This was 2 coats. The formula was smooth and easy to apply.

This was my left hand and it looks like some spiders had a fertility rite on my fingers. And this is the result. Again, cuticles are dying. (@,@)

This is my right hand. I don't think I could have drawn on my right hand the way I did on my left. But I kinda like the effect of 2 different hands.

And I have been playing around with makeup and false eyelashes. They are much much much harder than I ever thought it would be.

I like it cos it's a bit drag-queenish.

NOTD: Lilac with Black Glitter Tips

Hi ladies! 

Here it is, a bit late but here.

This was a cheap nameless, numberless $1 bottle of frosty lilac from a little pushcart. It didn't smell too bad but it was not nice at all to apply.

It was a pretty bottle with a quilted design. And a huge tube of black glitter I got for $2.

So after 2 coats, I pushed my tips in and shook them around. And tadah!

Add a flower sticker on the thumb...

 It looks very pretty, right? heheh

And on a side note, I got my first housewarming present.

A spongebob squarepants toaster! I love it!

NOTD: Cheeky Ghosts!

Hi ladies!

I got out me brushes and decided to do an early Halloween manicure.

NEVER paint while drinking choya. Your hands go shaky, your art looks crap, but hell, you don't care. (^^)

Both taken with flash. The top thumb looks like a one toothed vampire, or according to one of my students, it does. Note the child like innocence of the drawings. Really channeling the 5 year old in me!

But I kinda like it cos it's so messy!

Now to do a better one! Offffffffff with their heads!!! MUAH HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

Fiber Manicure: The Manly Sort

I saw this in Daiso and I had to get it. ^^ Cos I'm a manly man.

Ooooo Fiber manicure!

You want?

In case you feel a bit wussy for wearing a woman's nail care product. FOR MEN!

I did apply this over my pink thumb but this is ONE coat. It didn't smell too bad either. It dried to a high glossy finish. No top coat here at all. I might actually use this one for a full Fiber manicure one day. I saw nothing to justify fiber in the name.

And for the curious, here are the instructions and precautions. For nail polish MAY KILL YOU!

PINK!

NOTD: Pink With Black Crackle

I took everyone's advice and swirled the nail polish around after I applied a coat.

It does look much better but this polish I got dries matte. Which is kinda cool.

Please forgive the lighting. It's 1145pm here and it's been raining non-stop the last week. We experienced floods here over the weekend.

Black crackle and a pink un-named Skinfood. I only did one nail to experiment.

Indoors (duh) with flash. The crackle effect is really much nicer! Compared to the streaks I had earlier.

So ladies, to crackle, one must swish.

NOTD: Updated crackle nail polish

It's a black bottle of nail polish. Or is it? It's a crackle nail polish. I have been wanting one for the longest time, so when I saw this one, I went for it.

Please click for closeups of this crapiness. I was soooo disapointed. I don't know what I was expecting, but it was not streaks. It doesn't look 'cracky' but more like lines running down my nails. This was taken indoors with flash to show the 'effect' or lack there of.

Boooooooo... I think this is going into the swap pile. >,< Maybe it works better in non-tropical climates... It does dry SUPER fast so watch out for that.

And I was home this arvo, so I decided to bully my black dog, Floppy.

Yeah! I think he's rocking the pink!

PS I gave him a doggy treat to make up for the humiliation.

Cheap Nailpolish

These were $1 bottles I found at a pushcart near my place. Look at the close ups of the glitters! The purple is a burple (blue/purple) therefore immposible to photograph accurately.
The black one (which I love) has hints of silver, red and blue glitter. The purple has loads of silver, purple and blue glitter in it.


But, when I cracked open the bottle, I nearly died. It stank! My goodness someone crack open a window!
 I have never smelt any polish that smelt that bad.


But was it worth the smell? The brush was easy to use and it was 2 simple coats.

Yes, this was 2 coats. The black is pretty! The purple needs to be used a topcoat to really let it's beauty shine.

2 messy coats! No topcoat. It has a nice silver sheen to it :)

Alice-inspired Nails!

 

NOTD: Glitter Pink With Black Bows

Hi all! I got 2 new bottles of nail polish from the Faceshop. They are both of  the Celestial Light collection. The gold is 03 and the pink is 02. No names, just numbers.

Okay, so I used a base coat and 2 coats of the pink. I used Konad plate m56 and Konad special polish black. I still dislike the black. It shows up well BUT it seriously stains like crazy.

One konad topcoat.

Pretty no? It matches the dress I'm wearing to a friend's wedding tomorrow :)
