NOTD: Sunny Skies Ahead

Blue skies ahead! I know in some parts of the world, summer is winding down. And my pals down under are freezing! ^.^ So here's a sunny manicure to  brighten anyone's day.

I used 2 coats of a Rainbow blue. And then my paints for the clouds, birds and sun. I think I might do sheep next.

And another random Japanese thing I got!

Woolen face washing brush! It wasn't very good. With the first use, the brush became matted. Oh well!

PS Will know if I get my place by the 11th. And I am preapproved for my housing loan. Yippeee!

Chinese Dessert and Thank You!

Me and a friend went for dessert today. Or tonight.

In the very chinese place at Bugis. I was sooooo posing. Check out the "i'm too cool to smile' look.

My friend, Zan, doing his usual crazy thing. When we get together, it's always madness.

He had black Glutinous rice with almonds and vanilla ice cream. It was yummers!

I had the black chin chow (or grass jelly) with syrup. It was cold and refreshing. And each bowl? Nothing over $3.

I just want to say that I am truly blessed. I have so many fantastic friends that I love. And I know I have got their back and they have mine.

So a big hug to all my lovies! And kisses to my readers. You all mean so much to me. I was going through a very difficult time earlier this year and this blog and my friends have helped me get through it.

Thank you all for your support. ^.^ More than words could ever express, I am grateful.







 

Fiber Manicure: The Manly Sort

I saw this in Daiso and I had to get it. ^^ Cos I'm a manly man.

In case you feel a bit wussy for wearing a woman's nail care product. FOR MEN!

I did apply this over my pink thumb but this is ONE coat. It didn't smell too bad either. It dried to a high glossy finish. No top coat here at all. I might actually use this one for a full Fiber manicure one day. I saw nothing to justify fiber in the name.

Too much colour might be a bad thing...

I'm all for dying hair. Heck, I even have pink hair at the moment.

But has anyone ever dyed their ummmm Va-jay jay? I was kinda curious cos my beauty palour offers the service. But I am a 'wax off' kinda girl so what's there to dye?
So hands up! Who wants to try?

But on a side note, I found this picture (or more Hongie found it and sent it to me)

Haha no? I'm a big fan of Avatar (the tv series) but I don't yet kinda wanna watch the movie. I know its bad. But it could be so bad that its good? Or is it just me being hopeful?

NOTD: Mini Skittles

Gold, pink and blue!

Faceshop gold 3 coats. Skinfood 1 coat. Rainbow blue 2 coats.

I wanted something to match my hair. I put in bright pink extensions to celebrate my life as it is now. Which is AWESOME!

Natural light indoors with no flash.

I love skittles. Don't ya? I say Mini cos I only did 3 colours. And I will take pictures of my hair soon. I need a friend to do it for me.

And as for the apartment?

They took my check. But they haven't banked it in yet. So I will know if my offer has been accepted in 8 days. But bank loan is coming along fine. No issue at all. I'm so thankful.

LIFE IS AWESOME! ^.^

Forgive me if I'm bouncing off the walls in joy. I'm just so tickled pink.

Lucky nails?

I'm wearing lucky nails for the househunt and I CAN"T FIND MY CAMERA!

But, in 12 hours, I will know if I'm the owner of a 2 bedroom apartment.

Cross fingers for me ladies, while I look for my camera.
And for the apartment too?

NOTD: Pinky Purple Manicure

Hi ladies!

I promised pics of nails today and I will deliever but my cam didn't save the earlier manicure! *bangs head*
No idea what went wrong...

So I have nails. 3 coats of a Rainbow polish. Pinky purple with red and silver glitter.
But for some reason, it looks blue-purple or burple in the pictures.

It's not an accurate colour. But as usual with rainbow polishes, it glides on like butter.

THAT is the colour. *sigh* I can't work photoshop so this is the best I can do...

But I did go out for durians and mangosteens with my best friend.
The King and Queen of Fruit.

Yum, yum. Don't drop it on your foot. It's an aquired taste. Like blue cheese, but I love it. This is a Malaysian durian, the taste is richer. Those frozen Thai durians are different. I feel they taste bland.

And mangosteens! This bag was $2. And it goes so well with durian. *drools* If you haven't tasted it, you must. I remember going into Harrods (in London) and I saw they were selling these in the food department. 2 medium sized ones for 6 pounds! That was $17 those days. I almost fainted on the spot.

And the aftermath... We have durian sellers here that set up wooden tables and stools. And each table has a BIG basket for the shells and stuff. Ahhhh... Bliss!

Sorry I haven't been posting. I have been house hunting and it is a HORRIBLE process.

Plus, I'm buying it on my own so I'm trying to save every penny.

But who can resist nailpolish? >,<

Anyway, I do have new pictures and I will post it up tonight.

How does anyone survive the house buying process? It's so terrible.

And I was feeling really sad cos I saw this apartment I loved (on Sunday) and I called Monday to view it again, and it was gone! In a day! *sobs*

Ah well. What doesn't kill ya only makes your stronger, no?

trying something new

NOTD: (or some at least) The Edge Barcelona

I swapped this with Jen from nailpolish uk. It's an awesome polish. Blue in some lights, green in others. The above picture, I had just a coat on. Plus I was lazy and only painted 3 nails. Although dry time was short, I was too lazy to paint the pinky.

It matches my bed sheets! Again, it's a raining in Singapore. All pictures taken indoors with flash.

The middle finger is how it looks like in most lights.

Note the frosty finish? Yummy!

I like this polish and would deffo do a whole manicure with it. It's just that I'm heading out Friday night and this colour doesnt go with my dress. :)

NOTD: Pink With Black Crackle

I took everyone's advice and swirled the nail polish around after I applied a coat.

It does look much better but this polish I got dries matte. Which is kinda cool.

Please forgive the lighting. It's 1145pm here and it's been raining non-stop the last week. We experienced floods here over the weekend.

Black crackle and a pink un-named Skinfood. I only did one nail to experiment.

Indoors (duh) with flash. The crackle effect is really much nicer! Compared to the streaks I had earlier.

So ladies, to crackle, one must swish.
