MIA again!

I have been soooo busy with work. I am also going away next week for a 5day trip to Bali! Again I know, but I love that place.

I'll see what Indonesian polishes I can buy.

Also, I gave my nails a 2 week break from polish. And they are better and stronger than ever it seems!

I want to paint them later as I have a half day today.

Oooooo... Red Velvet Raspberry Cake!

I know this is not nail related. But I have to tell everyone about this!

I have died and gone to heaven.

This is the red velvet raspberry cake from My Fat Lady. It is soooo good with the cream cheese glaze. It's also reasonably priced. 6inches for just $25.

Edna (the lady herself) is also very very nice. They do customized cakes as well. I know what I am going to order for my birthday. (^.^)

All pictures are taken from her Facebook group. Sadly, the cake was demolished before we remembered to take photos. All that's left is the box and a bit of frosting on the side of the box.

NOTD: First Konad in AGES

Hi ladies!

2 coats of each and a swirly konad and you get.... But on a side note, the P2 was really pigmentated.

I don't know why but my Konad top coat dried all crinkly even though I was good and didnt move.

Also, my next manicure inspration!

Ooooooo! It does match my nails now but I want to do the 'one line one line' thing.

NOTD: OR205 Sunglasses Needed!

Hi ladies!

This is from the Faceshop and aptly named OR205. It is a neon highlighter orange! I did a base coat, then a thin coat of white then 2 coats of the orange.

Taken in the 'sun' (bit cloudy today) with no flash. It's really a much brighter orange. The pictures make it seem so muted.

Wah ha ha ha! My uneven nails. I love orange but it looks CRAP on me. >,<

Matchy matchy! If u see these in a stationary store, look at it. SAME bright shade.

It's been 2 days and there is some edge wear. I find the forumla great and easy to apply. Dries sooo slowly though.

I just realised this is my first orange nails.

Bazinga! (^.^) Can't wait for end September so that I can get my Big Bang kick again...

High Fashion Photo Shoot or maybe not (^,^)

I headed out to the Marina Bay area with friends last night. I haven't stayed out til 5 in the morning for ages! Needless to say, I suffered today.

But here are some shots of me *cough cough* and my friends trying to do some high end fashion photo shoot type feel. hahah I didn't explain myself well at all!

The scene. The Singapore River overlooking Marina Sands the casino. On the 'boat' there is an infinity pool. It was where Katy Perry did her interview when she was in Singapore. In the pool.

NOTD: LA Girl's Head Banging

Hey ladies!

This is banging! I'm beginning to love the formula on these more than OPIs!

Ooooo SHimmer! I'm such a green fiend!

I fell asleep with wet nails thus the hair streaks. This is 2 coars and I kept it on for 4 days! There is tipwear but considering how rough I am, they stood up well.

And I am trying a new eye mask from Faceshop. It's a gel mask. My skin has been blotchy... So!

It's designed for the eye area. They are squishy at first, but after 30mins, the eye masks become drier and thinner, like paper. It's cool!

It smells divine too! As it should be, being that close to my nose. I'm going to use one once a week for a while and let's see if my eye bags get better. Only thing is that it's a bit expensive. $4.95 per use. Hmmm...

Skinfood is toxic!

I was reading through blogs when I saw Wan's post about Skinfood is toxic.

For me it was, SAY IT ISN'T SO!

So I went to her link and read.

"Products involved are Skinfood Jojoba Pure Nail PK004 and Milk Creamy Nail Base Coat. The two products were found to contain 9.7 and 11 ppm of Benzene respectively."

What's Benzene?


"Methanol is highly toxic while there is an established link between Benzene and leukemia."

?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? says me.

I was shocked because Skinfood's other products thive on being 'fresh' and all natural.

I didn't do my bestie's nails but this is completely unlike her. She normally prefers a blood red manicure with black tips. And bling. Lots of bling.

So I was shocked, yet amused to see this femmy colour on her.

NOTD: Updated Electric Blue

I tried doing some nail art. Hmmmm... I don't know what to think about this. It's a bit streaky but I did take the picture while my nails were wet. With flash.

And I know the season is wrong but I figured the blue would be a perfect Xmas manicure in the future. So I tried and it turned out pretty cool. But I'm months too early!
